Jail - Gulfport Mississippi Workers Comp Injury

Gulfport Mississippi Workers Compensation Injury

If you decide to get arrested while I represent you, then don't expect me to fix your case.  If you get arrested your case will go down the tubes.

I just had this issue with a client who was injured in a Gulfport Mississippi Worker's Compensation Accident.  The client was arrested and went to jail for months.  The client's voice mail was full and I was unable to leave a message for the client.  As a result, I sent letters to the client.  I sent a lot of letters.  I never got a response.  I literally thought the guy was deceased and started checking obituaries.

Months later, his wife is mad at me and tweets on twitter that I am a bad lawyer.  I tried to find out the problem because my goal is that every person I represent must be a satisfied customer.  I don't always please everybody but I try very hard to do so.  So, I asked the wife to contact me directly after she did this on twitter because I did not know who her husband was (on twitter she didn't use her real name).

I find out that her husband is the guy that was in jail.  He admitted this to one of my paralegals.  What was crazy is the wife was complaining that I did not call him back.  First, I didn't know he was in jail until he got out.  Second, was I supposed to call every prison and find out what jail he was in?  Third, how was I supposed to call the guy in jail?

Here's what I find even dumber.  The wife supposedly lived with the husband.  They haven't moved.  I sent the letters to that address.  Do you think the wife would bother opening her husband's mail and letting me know he was in prison?  It seems logical to me.  Instead, she never called at all.

The moral of this story is if you go to jail, then do NOT expect me to be able to fix your case and get you a fair settlement or a good verdict.  Your case will be hurt very badly by this.

I didn't put you in jail.  I didn't arrest you.  I didn't make you stay in jail.  You made those choices so don't blame me.

By the way, I don't represent criminals and if you did get arrested, don't call me as I don't represent people arrested for crimes.

Don't say I didn't warn you!
